I remember…
So, in 1992 I was working as an Intern at Epic Records in their Media Relations Department. I remember the green tape with quite a few songs on it- which we blasted for everyone to hear in the office. Those songs were so unique at the time- definitely broke the barriers of hip-hop, rap, hard rock. Nothing like it at the time, really. When the cd was ready to ship to media, I was on the campaign. It was great- cd’s were going out to all the reviewers and it was a big deal. I got a free ticket to see them at the Whiskey A Go Go in Hollywood that year and they were amazing. The place was just shaking! Moshing, stage diving, people getting all riled up! I met Zack at Epic and he was the nicest, most gracious person to me. What an amazing album and band. I really don’t think there will be anything like them again.
